Schedule Update for the Movie Lingaa

LingaaReleased in 2014, “Kochadaiiyaan” is the predecessor to a new movie being filmed called Lingaa. Director Rajinkanth began shooting this film on May 1 in India but because of concerns over chemicals getting into nearby lake water, a number of Anajpur villagers tried to stop production. However, after proving permission was granted from the village Panchayat and the irrigation department, filming commenced.

Due to filming delays, the release date came into question but it was just announced that Lingaa will open on December 12, 2014, a date coinciding with Rajinkanth’s birthday. In addition to Dev Gill, Santhanam, Jagapati Babu, and Karunakaran being the lead stars, incredible talent is provided by Radha Ravi, Manobala, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty, and others in supporting roles.

According to one insider, Lingaa covers two generations and coordinates with the first movie, Kochadaiiyaan. Although the exact storyline has remained a mystery, apparently two roles will be reprised by Rajini. It is also said the look and feel of the setting is completely different and that this movie holds numerous surprises for viewers.

To ensure successful completion of the film and an unaltered schedule, it is reported that Rajini visited the Theearthahalli Rameshwara temple to offer prayers. Production has also stayed the course thanks to the more than 3,000 people involved with daily shooting, a team of 100 people responsible for cooking and feeding staff and actors, and the approximate 100 police officers, coupled with 50 private security staff who keep enthusiastic fans and inquiring villagers at a safe distance.

Lingaa has an unbelievable setting that includes magnificent waterfalls and a 40-foot statue of Lord Shiva but also a slew of special effects that are sure to please moviegoers. To execute some of the more challenging scenes, a special team of technicians from Hollywood have provided assistance in the efforts to create a box office hit.
