As Above, So Below Reaches Deep Inside Human Psyche – Trailer

As Above, So BelowSet to be released in theaters August 28, 2014, As Above, So Below is an American film found footage horror film. The movie is directed by John Erick Dowdle, written by Dowdle along with his brother Drew, produced by Legendary Pictures, and distributed by Universal Pictures.

The film tells the story of a team of American subterranean explorers who venture deep into miles of twisting and turning catacombs under the streets of Paris, an eternal home to countless souls. During exploration, the team encounters sheer terror as they uncover bones within the unchartered maze.

As Above, So Below, is said to reveal personal demons that often come back to haunt people in real life. In addition to the explorers seeing visions of their own past, the movie is said to reach deep into the psyche of viewers.

The journey beneath the streets of Paris is filled with terror and to bring the action and madness to life, the film has a great cast to include Ben Feldman, Perdita Weeks, Edwin Hodge, Francois Civil, Marion Lambert, Ali Marhyar, Cosme Castro, Hamid Djavadan, Theo Cholbi, Emy Levy, Roger Van Hool, and many others.

The limited showing of As Above, So Below received somewhat mixed reviews but for people who enjoy this particular genre, it left a good impression. The movie is rated R because of violence, terror, and language, but for adults, it appears to be a good choice when it comes to suspense.

Even though it does not boast heavy-hitting actor, cast members do a great job in portraying their characters and the emotions they experience as part of the exploration.
