The main plot of the movie revolves around Burger Beard, a pirate searching for the last page of a book that will make any of the evil plans he writes come true, which entails getting his hands on the secret formula to the famous Krabby Patty.

However, Beard’s plan puts all of Bikini Bottom in danger to include SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton who ultimately journey to the surface of the water in an effort to find the stolen recipe but also save Bikini Bottom. Their goal is to recover the stolen book but also transform into superheroes.
