Hunger Games: Mockingjay – New Details – Trailer

Hunger Games- MockingjayMillions of moviegoers are patiently awaiting the release of the new Hunger Games: Mockinjay movie following the mega hit, “Hunger Games”. This film is the first of the Hunger Games: Mockingjay installments and the third of the overall Hunger Games series.

This American science fiction adventure follows the struggles faced by Katniss Everdeen played by Jennifer Lawrence, after escaping the Third Quarter Quell. Having become the nation’s symbol of hope, Everdeen is a reluctant hero who symbolizes hope for the nation.

The film, which is directed by Francis Lawrence and screen written by Danny Strong and Peter Craig, is set to be released on November 21, 2014. Although the plot closely follows the novel written by Suzanne Collins, director Lawrence recently hinted there will be things in the movie that were not in the book.

According to Lawrence, there will be very distinct differences between Part 1 and Part 2 and in fact, he claims the stories will be extremely different. In addition, Lawrence stated that Part 1 will feature some of the most incredible battles ever filmed, which includes a number of additional scenes not in the book.

As he puts it, “There’s definitely some battles. There’s some of the first glimpses of real war in this movie and the scale gets quite big. There’s an atonal shift from some of the last movies, but they’re still very emotional, very sweeping, and on a grand scale with levity and humor”.

Lawrence also states there will be scenes in the movie that might have been taking place at different times in the book but without changing characters or the overall plot. To Lawrence and the rest of the production team, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is not necessarily about changing things but instead, expanding on them. In other words, the goal is to enhance the viewer’s experience while maintaining integrity established in the first Hunger Games movie.

As with the first release, the upcoming movie has a cast of incredibly talented actors to include again, Jennifer Lawrence, along with Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Jeffrey Wright, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland, and scenes with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Fans are doubly excited, knowing after Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 comes another great film just around the corner.
